A Weekend for the Weekend

i need a weekend away from the weekend. i have not gotten the sleep i have needed and have been going all weekend. on Friday i had a football game at Hayden. While there i almost fainted from heat and low blood sugar. I did not get home till 12. I woke up the next morning at 7 and sat in the car for 2 hours. then i went to work at the school to get ready for night of bands, then we had night of bands which went well, even though i did not have dinner till 9:45. i got up this morning at 7, got a shower, and we are going to my mom’s church. then after we get back i am told I am mowing the lawn. then i will have to get another shower before my dad arrives tonight to take us (me and micah and noah) to go to his church. i just want a weekend for the weekend.

Ketch Up Time

I will probably do a lot of ketch up time posts cuz i just dont have time to get on here and post all the time. I will start with DND saturday. It all went well. We cleared the first dungeon. It was relatively short. Chris decided to go with a dwarf cleric instead of a lawyer rogue. Matt was a human paladin. One of the requirements for paladin is that you must be lawful good as your alignment. We decided he is not lawful good. He’s lawful good enough. I think he is more chaotic neutral. I am surprised that Matt did not attack me or chris seeing as how we are both evil. I am chaotic and Chris is lawful. I missed the next meeting. I was stuck doing nothing at my house, so meh. I still got experience. I also became much creepier. I now carry around with me everywhere, an enchanted corpse that will not decay, a were rat hand, and the hand of a drow. Gotta have something to scratch my back with. I cant wait for the next meeting. We had our first football game last friday. We lost. But our band (which I am a member of, not the football team) did really awesomely good. I also have done quite a bit of thinking. My hands have personalities that converge to make my overall qualities. My Left hand is the nice one. He is very polite, and does not like to hurt people, physically or mentally. He is also the smart one. Left likes to think of himself as a gentleman of the ages. He enjoys reading and getting things done. My Right hand is almost the exact opposite. Right is lazy, rude, and obnoxious, but everybody loves him. Right likes to play video games and stay inside all day. Right is pretty fat and eats munchies all the time, but Left is just active enough to overcome that. Right doesn’t like home work, and would rather study girls than books. Right is overactive at DND though. He loves DND and would play all the time if he could. He would much rather be slaying dragons and freeing the princess (or capturing the princess and fighting off the king for her love, which ever he is in the mood for) than going to school. Left is pretty preppy while Right is a slob and more kinda-emo. well, thats about it. ketch ya l8r.

Dungeons And Dragons

Well, today is the big day. DND DAY! I love playing DND! Last year was the first year I played and i was the party’s healer (tthe cleric). This year though, I said that i did not want to be a cleric, I was going to be the wizard! Our other party members are as follows: Todd (he is my best friend and my section leader in band) is going to be a half-elf ranger, last I heard; Chris (he is a tenor sax player and played DND last year) is going to be a lawyer-rogue; Moglie (plays trombone, newcomer to DND) is also planning on a rogue, but is going to be more combative than Chris; Matt (also plays trombone, but is the section leader, also a newcomer), I am not sure what Matt is going to play; and finally Beans (a.k.a. Shelton, plays the trombone, also played DND last year) is going to be our DM (Dungeon Master, the guy who tells us the story and controls the bad guys). This year is gonna be pretty cool.

i just saw all three episodes of Dr. Horrible’s SingAlong Blog and its HEELARIUS! I love it! Captain Hammer is pretty funny too. I’M MELTING!!!

It was very hot today when i mowed the lawn. It took me almost 4 hours the longest it has taken me in like 2 years. Went to church tonight, saw Breanna, Lauren (who i did not think would be there, and who i found out is moving back to Texas soon.), Telora, Kayla, and Austin. Caleb, one of the little little kids at church has grown attached to me. He cries everytime I have to leave. I feel bad for leaving, but its a good feeling of knowing im wanted too. Which i know im wanted but im sure you with kids understand. I got asked a very odd question about my church’s doctrine. Todd asked me “This may be just folklore or whatever but does your church (church of christ) really think that other churches are going to hell?” i just kinda stared at him and answered i think very intelligently, “I dont. I think if you live by god’s word and will, and you are baptized you are not going to hell. although that is what i beleive, some of the older ones in my church may think differently.” i think i handled it very well.

Band Camp and a Barn

Last week was band camp and it was HOT! we had a lot of fun though. The music this year is relatively easy so we didn’t work too hard in sectionals. I did not get to go and see The Dark Knight like I wanted to because we had the youth retreat. I did go to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on thursday at the decatur mall. I did not like it as much as the first or third ones. I’d put it at about the same level as the second. the youth retreat was a lot of fun. We stayed at a place called Camp ToknowHim. We litterally stayed in a barn. It was half a horse stable half a cabin. But it was really big. I was the only teenage boy there but it wasn’t a total loss. I always say that i would much rather hang out with chicks than with some of my friends. We had a total of 28 people there except sunday when two extra people showed to give the sunday lesson. I didn’t get much sleep on Saturday night. I stayed up till 2 with Breanna, Kayla, Andrea, Telora, Lauren, Dinah, and Liz. I think the youth group as a whole grew closer together. It stinks that Austin my cuz, who is 13, didn’t get to be there. He had to have ear drum reconstruction surgery. I feel his pain. I have had surgery close to that before. Except instead of reconstruction it was replacement so, eh. Breanna (i spelled her name wrong last time) is now more part of the group. we talked and she is pretty cool. Im real glad she is with us now.

My Cousin’s A Goob

The only reason i named this post that is because my cousin Austin is staring over my shoulder. It is very annoying.nothing much has happened lately. Band has been okay so far. it has not been very hot yet, but will be by Monday next week. Band camp lasts from 8 to 5 every day. it is very hot during those hours. and it will be very hard to find breakfast that does not include a dairy product. my usual breakfast is cereal and juice. looks like it will be toaster strudel or poptarts. OH! i forgot waffles!

PLEASE GO TO SLEEP!

i couldn’t sleep at all last night. insomnia sucks. well, everything is going back to normal now. Band practice has started agasin. This year we are doing a “Going To the Movies” theme. some of our songs are like themes for Batman, Superman,Halloween,Psycho,Twentieth century theme. songs from movies like Casa Blanca, west side story, and some others. i mowed the lawn again yesterday. it was still hot out there. Sam (the tenor sax player who sits next to me in band) kept on telling me i was sick cuz after i mow the grass i cough a lot and cant breath through my nose. its just one of my newly emerging allergies. i have found out that i am allergic to english peas now. ya know, i didn’t know you could be allergic to peas, but I am.

Don’t Worry, Be Happy

All went well with my grandfather’s surgery thursday. I’m super releived at that. We now have decided to go to their house every weekend for the next couple of weeks or months. Just to make sure everything is ok. While we were there we went to the mall and made Papi, my granddad and its pronounced poppy just spelled different, a bear at Build-a-Bear. we dressed it up in a doctors outfit with an x-ray of a heart. He was supposed to have triple bypass surgery but he ended up have four bypasses. He is doing really well. He walks around when he has to but doesn’t want to, and hes eating okay.

Band camp is just around the corner. I missed the first meeting. I had to go to Birmingham so I missed it. But Mr. Farris(band director) and Todd(section leader) understood.Oh, if you were wondering I play the baritone. Played it since 8th grade and before that I played thye tuba for a half year and trumpet three years before that.

Recent Turn of Events

so i found out this morning my stepdad’s dad(my step-grandfather) is going to have to have triple bypass surgery. Don’t ask me how it works i just know its on his heart. I’m praying that everything goes good. Papi (our nickname for him) means a lot to me and to all of us, and it would really hurt to lose him.

On a brighter note, there is a new girl at my dad’s church. Her name is Brianna (or Breanna or however you spell it). She has black hair, she’s kinda short, and I like her. I don’t really know much about her, but I do know that she is in colorguard at Decatur High, and she’s 14. Past that i know nothing else.

I’m not looking forward to tomorrow. I have to get up at 6 (which i usually sleep till about 9 30 or 10), and Aegwyn has her ear surgery tomorrow at 7. Then we get packed and head to Birmingham for Papi’s surgery. It will be a hectic and murderous day tomorrow. Not happy about it at all.
